To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. However, Logiic can’t find where LPX stores these files? I can’t find any newly created folders, or any large additions to the Music folder, and right-clicking a sound in the library.

Factory Patches and other settings files have been moved lately directly into the Logic app. To access those which you shouldn’tyou have to open the Package Content of the app. BTW, the files will show up on your drive as zound as you have installed them. It as nothing to do with indexing.

I can’t find any newly created folders, or any large additions to the Music folder, and right-clicking a sound in the library doesn’t allow you to “View in Finder”.

Yes, I did. Very strange: when I finally switched to the Admin account I find that the root-level library folder is an alias to the location on the external drive. When I did a download of a single package, I also noticed that the file-sizes and date stamps of the newly downloaded material were newer and larger than what was in the renamed and moved original repository.
